From idea to program: team of AI-enablers
Exec summary:Â Â
With a global functional team we anchored the story in something simple they could be excited and supportive: an AI and BI enablement for a broader company.Â
How we made it actionable:Â
- Value Story workshop → what matters now, for whom, what value team brings.Â
- Role-based 1:1s → product lifecycle, semantic clarity, data quality, privacy, AI.Â
- Tailored workshops  tied to one flagship outcome – position and train the team to become AI/BI enablers for others, with data capabilities they own.Â
Impact: leadership visibility, clearer ownership and scope, defined evolution path the team can walk this year. No AI hype — just consistent steps with enablement by data, DQ, modelling and architecture, policies - an irresistible powerful combo offer.Â
Audience takeaway: We programmed team for success — by linking AI strategy, data, architecture, and role‑based coaching so team shows real progress, not just intent.Â
 Context: Â
One of company’s vertical function is enabling AI/BI for the data they own and operate, allowing anyone in the broader company to build their own AI/BI capabilities while aligning multiple stakeholders, systems and compliance requirements.Â
 Challenges (before we started):
- Strategy not yet visible enough to executives; need to make value focus fast. Team identity is blurred - great skillset, yet doesn't stick together.
- Product mindset growing but uneven; architecture and quality practices needed to support AI aren't there.Â
- New roles emerging (e.g., AI lead) and the team needing hands‑on enablement.Â
What we did (advisory, training & coaching)
- Anchored the effort in an AI/BI enablement narrative: data foundations, semantic clarity, governance and guardrails, with smallest investments that makes progress.Â
- Designed team workshops: a Value Story session and an AI Product discovery + product practice session focused on concrete use cases. Train-the-trainer : what we did together, they could replicate across the company with their stakeholders.
- A 1:1 role‑based coaching plan for each discipline leader - product management, semantic layer and architecture, data products, data quality & scorecard, Privacy.
 Outcomes so far:Â
- Direction is accepted to a formal program with Board‑level visibility via the CPO.Â
- Product mindset moved from “talking about AI/BI products” to applying product enablement practices in targeted workstreams.Â
- Equipped with a clear enablement practice that connects business strategy and business needs at enterprise to their daily work and impact/value they make.
 What made the difference:Â
-
We connected strategic initiative into powerful and sharp narrative and equipped team & individuals to carry the change in their domain in practical and proven way.Â
